PeopleWorx
PeopleWorx is a program run at the Family Life Opportunity Shops in Chelsea and Cheltenham. It is a training program where you can learn new skills, meet new people and gain support in a fun and friendly environment. |

At PeopleWorx you will be supported by caring staff and volunteers - helping you reach your goals at your own pace. You can undertake Certificate II in Retail, participate in our return to work or study program, or you may simply want to gain some work experience to prepare you for your next job or study opportunity.

- Certificate II in Retail (SIR20207)
- Retail Basics (Two day workshop)
- Return to Work or Study Program
- VET/VCAL (Certificate II in Retail)
- Community Services and Work Experience
Who is PeopleWorx for?
The PeopleWorx program is for people, young and old, who might be struggling with personal or learning difficulties, be having problems finding work, or who would like to become more connected to their community.
What would you do at PeopleWorx?
- Learn retail skills:
- Point of Sale Terminal training
- Customer Service
- Visual Merchandising
- Occupational Health and Safety in Retail
- Interaction with customers
- Get work experience in a real shop
- Build self confidence and skills
- Meet lots of people and be part of a team
- Have a lot of fun while learning
- Have access to personal support
Mentors
Adult mentors volunteer to work in the enterprise providing much appreciated friendship, guidance and support to the young people. They also assist with retail sales, merchandising and customer service in so doing are role models for the trainees.
