40 Years of Community Service

Family Life was founded in 1970 by a group of visionary volunteers, who wanted to help local families in bayside.

Since then, Family Life has expanded to help families living in the local government areas of Port Phillip, Kingston, Glen Eira, Bayside, Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula down to Rosebud West and Hastings

Reception

Thousands of families and young people have benefited from Family Life's personal counselling and support, family dispute resolution, mediation, case-management, social enterprises and the myriad opportunities created by Family Life for people to participate in their own community, become better parents, and journey from being a client to being an active participating citizen.

Family Life's 300 volunteers contribute approximately 48,900 hours per year through their work in administration, fundraising, specialist family support, at the Opportunity Shops, as mentors and tutors, on the Board and in the community-development programs called Creating Capable Communities
