Edithvale Community House
The Family Life Community House in Edithvale, Victoria.
Opened in August 2009.
A meeting place for mums, dads and children.
The Kingston community now has a wonderful new Family Life Community House for all the family. Mums and dads will be able to gather with their children, make new friends, learn parenting and personal skills, develop their leadership abilities, link into neighbourhood support networks and tap into Family Life’s extensive resources.
On Tuesday 11 of August 2009, the Family Life Community House in Edithvale, Victoria, was officially opened. Victorian Child Safety Commissioner Bernie Geary launched the Community House, with representatives from local council, Rotary, community members, Family Life staff, volunteers and participants in attendance.
| Family Life's goal of achieving a Community House for the City of Kingston was launched with a major donation from generous philanthropists, Roger and Pat Riordan from The Cybec Foundation, providing the perfect building. With support from the community, including Lowe Constructions and The Rotary Clubs of Aspendale, Carrum and Chelsea, the Community House has been lovingly rejuvenated. These generous contributions will provide a special place with wonderful opportunities for everyone in the community. Thank you. |
