The research by Professor Thea Brown, Monash University, investigated the outcomes for families attending the Frankston Family Relationship Centre over its first three years, 2006 - 2009.
The reserach found that 67% of parents reported they had achieved new ways of viewing the relationships with their partners. |

"Attending the service has been a "terrific blue print" for us. My ex wife and I meet for coffee every week to talk about the children. The best thing is that we can now pick up the children and drop them off at their homes - we used to pick them up at the park. We've agreed to shared care. We are not the best of friends, but we are getting on with our lives. And the children are doing really well. I am so glad we attended the Dispute Resolution Service - I have to pinch myself as I can't believe how well it worked out."
